I gambled, I won. After taking the weekend off, I convinced my stoker and a co-worker that invoking rule eighteen would be the right thing to do. I had previously planned a rule sixteen coffeeneuring outing, but the bad weather scared us back inside.

Please note that the stoker decided this ride was too short and went home to run another 4.5 miles. *sigh*
